WHAT IS JUST QUALITY MUSIC (dot) COM

In 2008, we came up with the idea of creating a live, independent, online radio station that would feature the best of new releases in house, deep house, techno and minimal.   The company started in Chicago, but the site’s early success attracted international recognition and gained fans from across the globe.  These fans also include followers of our other media outlets: the JQM YouTube channel, JQM iTunes radio station and Podcast, JQM Facebook group and JQM ResidentAdvisor.net event page.   In late 2009, JQM moved to Washington, DC, where we currently operate all media outlets as well as our new successful project, JQM events.

As our name suggests, we put an emphasis on quality and aim to achieve the utmost consumer satisfaction.   Our station features a 24/7 music stream that attracts an average of 5,000 listeners per week.  We also host two LIVE weekly shows, each centered on a unique and tasteful theme which attracts a growing audience.  In addition, our YouTube station has received over 50,000 hits, we have 4,000 members in our social networks and our mailing list spans to over 15,000 recipients.  The JQM station can also be accessed through iTunes under the “Radio” section or via iPhone.  The goal of JQM events is to encourage creativity and growth within the electronic music community through the promotion and booking of talented artists and producers to play at our live events in the Washington, DC area.
In Chicago, we partnered our promotion efforts with Chicago-based music labels and booking agencies, such as Migrashun, Souvenir Events, and Spybar.  In Washington, DC we have worked with the well-known and successful event production and promotion company 88 and will be collaborating with them for this event for their third annual Forward Festival.  We also have promoters working directly with us scattered in different major US cities (Miami, New York, Detroit, Washington DC) as well as in Poland, Germany, and Australia.
Last Year (2009) we have decided to pursue a collaborative partnership on side projects with Paxahau, the creators of the annual Movement Detroit Electronic Music Festival (DEMF), which attracted over 81,000 people, as well as Electric Zoo, New York City’s Electronic Music festival, which attracted over 100,000 people.  For these events, our logo was shown on the official schedule pamphlet and distributed to all attendees.  JQM performed media work for both events that included interviews, photographs and videos, which were distributed through all of our outlets.

Aside from the regular 24/7 broadcast, JustQualityMusic.com also hosts two LIVE shows.

Each one is centered on a unique and tasteful theme which attracts a growing weekly audience:

1.    The Weekly Record Check (WRC):

WRC is a LIVE audition that broadcasts every Thursday night at 9PM CST.
The first 8 episodes produced in Chicago were aired near the end of 2008.
Each week, WRC features a selection of the latest unreleased tracks in Techno,
Tech-House, Deep-House, Minimal in the first hour.
The second hour features a mix from international guest artist along with a complete track-listing,
an interview, and a bio.
Show is hosted by Chicago dj and producer and justqualitymusic founder – PeteOne

2.    Sunday DJ Therapy:

This show is broadcast LIVE Sunday nights from 9PM to 1AM CST, straight from the production
home and recording studio of Christopher Grabowski, aka K-rAd.Each Sunday night K-rAd
(and aMy) host a laid-back dinner for a small crowd of their close DJ, producer and music-loving
friends at padK-rAd.
The event started as a joke last summer, on their rooftop, when two exhausted Chicago dj’s
(who will remain nameless) were over for dinner and needing a little TLC—aka, some “dj therapy”.
With the success of last summer, they decided to start it again, this time opening it to a wider
circle of friends and talent, emphasizing that their home is a place for people to learn, experiment,
share ideas, and rejuvenate after a long week.
Sunday Dj Therapy features a variety of music
(that isn’t necessarily typical of JQM’s regular broadcast),
including Chicago House, Beat Box, Deep House, Tech House, and even old-school Hip Hop.
You never know who will stop in or what will be played—but you can
be sure that whoever it is has a serious passion for their craft.
